The Journey Within — New Moon Aries

In the beginning, there was everything.

All your dreams, potential, possibilities, personalities and hopes lived out in the universe.

Spiraling in and out of stars and galaxies, swirling through black holes and parallel realities.

Dancing on Saturn’s Rings, swimming in Venus’s oceans and flying through the Milky Way.

Until all of a sudden, everything stopped.

It all became silent.

Nothing moved, nothing came or went.

Even time, stood still.

The universe had suddenly stopped expanding, growing and evolving.

What used to be electrical currents moving faster than the speed of light was now captured in stillness.

Now only the infinite space between things, within every cell and every atom that ever existed, finally had its chance to be seen.

What had been seen as just empty space was now the only thing moving in the universe.

It is from this place that time began to spiral, in and out of what used to be and what is but could no longer move forward in a linear matter.

And from this place, our earth was born, as a memory of the beginning of when life was eternal and the result of what can be created from the space between.

Now, here we are, once again having to create something from nothing.

We have been stuck in the still point of our own evolution and can not repeat our mistakes.

We can not move forward with the same dreams, promises and hopes for they are based on the old world.

The requirement for our times, for this moment is to stop.

To be still.

To not relay on old systems, resources, policies, beliefs of what use to work.

It is a return to the emptiness.

Of becoming silent and listen to what actually is already alive inside each of us.

For too long, we have been running on the electrical current of potentiality of the better tomorrow.

What if today, is all we need.

What if growing and expanding and evolving is counter productive to the actual creation of things?

What if our greatest resources do not come from what is out there but what is in here?

The return to the journey within, begins with you.

Come with me now.

To the beginning.

Not in time, but of place.

A piece of existence that when remembered awakens your every cell.

What feels like home.

Take a deep breath.

And another.

One more.

Feel your feet on the ground.

Your hands on your belly and chest.

Imagine that this body is a portal and will travel with you anywhere.

Your eyes are closed but your inner eyes open.

Imagine yourself walking through a hallway full of doors.

Each door a different color.

A different shape.

They all look so different, from different era’s of history.

At the end of the hallway, you see a door that feels familiar.

Get closer and begin to notice what it looks like. What is it made of, what color is it? Does it have a doorknob or another way of opening?

When ready, knock on the door three times.

The door opens.

Step through and close the door behind you.

Allow yourself to be in the darkness.

There is no where to go.

No one to become.

Just you and the stillness.

Breathe.

Begin to imagine this place that you just entered.

What’s in there? Are you inside or are you outside somewhere?

Allow your imagination or senses to come alive to what is emerging around you.

Don’t worry if you can see anything. Just imagine.

Notice how the darkness begins to fill with colors, plants, people and creatures.

Observe this place, if you were to call it home what needs to be there?

Is it a place you feel your soul was born?

Or maybe its where you hope one day to live and to call home.

Be there. For as long as you need.

When your ready.

Imagine the door on the other side of this place.

Take one more look around.

The door opens but instead of coming back into the hallway.

You are back in your room, couch or chair staring at the screen with both eyes open.

The Inner and the Outer.

You are back in this body, in this moment and on this planet.

But remember, the door is open.

This place in you, is still there.

All you have to do to return, is to remember.

All you have to do to remember, is to enter.

New Moon Prayer

I was at the beginning,

middle

and return.

When dreams were made

and time repeated

back again.

Within me

is a space so wild

and still

that creation

beckons me

calls me

instructs me

on how to listen.

New Moon Musings

What did you see in the darkness? What did you find there, in this place where your soul was born? What images, colors, sensations, visualizations or tastes did you sense when traveling through the door? Write it all down. Maybe you need to sleep on it and allow your dreams to remind you. I invite you to create an altar for this place. Collect the images, and allow this to be an altar for your “soul home”. A place where you honor this place inside you. Where every time you glance upon it, you remember and feel at home.
